For the first time ever, my parents left me home and to my own devices for a week. Its a pretty weird feeling to have the house to myself, no one to have already put the water on for tea and a few literal housekeeping tasks to take care of while they are away but I'm sort of loving it! I started yesterday with a barre class at my favorite studio followed by a day date for lunch with P, a trip to the movies and a relaxing night on the couch with pizza. I plan to make the most of these next fews days at home since its still a few more weeks until I can actually get out of town. There's plenty to do in Massachusetts that doesn't involve driving up north to the actual "Vacationland".

Here are some of my staycation ideas in case you're in need of an adventure but there's no opportunity for a long trip in sight:

1. Sort through a thrift store in Allston.

2. Grab a burrito at Anna's Tacqueria.

3. Stroll through the Arnold Arboretum.

4. Walk through the Boston Public Library.

5. "Cross" the Boston Marathon Finish Line.

6. Enjoy an authentic Boston Cream Pie at the Omni Parker House.

7. Travel to and peruse the Brimfield Fair.

8. Drive down tha Cape and have a beach day.

10. Walk the banks of the Charles River. Maybe even pack a picnic!

11. Venture into Chinatown and take on an order or dim sum.

13. Wander around Davis Square and pick a restaurant at random to eat. (Maybe Foundry On Elm?)

14. Take in the view of the Boston skyline on Deer Island.

15. Ask for a bartender to surprise you at Eastern Standard Kitchen.

16. Pretend you hopped the Atlantic for the best Italian food this side of the ocean at Eataly.
